The holidays are over, thankfully, and work has begun on a new series of work. I'm currently prepping for two shows, one west coast and one east coast.
The west coast show will be a pop-up with Rick Begneaud www.rickbegneaud.com
We'll be producing and exhibiting 10 large works each. Expect a San Francisco location to be announced in coming weeks.
The east coast show will be in March, in Washington DC at Gallery Tsu. I will be on hand for the opening. Date to be announced.

Only a few days until the annual event at Sausalitos ICB Building... the winter open studios extravaganza. December 1 and 2 (with party the Friday evening before.)

Note: This will be my last show at the ICB. I am officially moving my studio to Tam Valley... About 10 minutes away. I'll have pics of the new studio space up as it's completed... but am very excited to move into a more secluded, quiet space to produce and consider work.

Holiday Season is upon us and while I'm looking forward to the fun and gathering, I'm not always pleased with the subsequent interuption to studio time.
A large aount of work in progress, and I hope to fluff this site out shortly when I opt to document it all in one swoop. Large and small works to come.
I've added a new "STUDIES" section to the website (www.jdwilsonstudios.com) in order to offer and exhibit smaller work, averaging about 12"x12" or so. The first hanf dozen should be up in the next week. It's a chance to force myself to work smaller, and to offer easier to display peieces for folks with less wall space. Like me :)

Hi All. Saturday October 27th I'll be exhibiting about a dozen or so previously unseen "small works" at an exhibition at Cavallo Point in Sausalito, California.

I'll be on hand between 11am and 4pm to discuss the work. These items will be available for sale. This particular venue is also a short distance from my studio. I'll be inviting interested parties back to my studio for an after party and chance to look at larger work, both complete and in progress.
